Resilient Barn / Dig It Naturals
“Autumn is a season of great beauty, but it is also a season of decline. The days grow shorter, the light is suffused, and the summer’s abundance decays towards winter’s death. Faced with the inevitable winter, what does nature do in autumn? She scatters the seeds that will bring new growth in the spring – and she scatters them with amazing abandon.”–Parker J. Palmer
You are invited for a deep dive within yourself safely surrounded by all that our luscious land & heart-led hosts have to offer in this courageous, one day retreat experience. This fall season, enjoy a guided property tour with our host, Tarah Gibbon, immersing yourself between the whispering pines and spiraling pathways, reintroducing your soul to over 70 herbal medicines & edible backyard plants and flowers.
Joining us for our harvest will be Tara Reynolds, Courage & Renewal® Facilitator, a Life and Wellness Coach-in-Training with Canada Coach Academy and an alumnae of the Vermont Leadership Institute. Tara is a Co-Founder of WholeHeart, Inc., whose mission is to support inner transformation that leads to social transformation.
Intentionally taking the time to slow down and tend to our practices promoting comfort and ease, together, Tarah & Tara, will explore what it is to harvest inner courage through deep listening in connection to Land, as we learn how to sift through what to keep, what to compost, and what to preserve (and how) for the upcoming months.
This retreat will be a small gathering of people (8-10 individuals) who are interested in exploring principles and practices of generous listening, rest, and renewal through the lens of autumn and the harvesting season. At this retreat, there will be time for individual reflection, time on the land, and time for witnessing and being witnessed in community. There will be opportunities to explore questions of importance to you through multiple modalities and ways of knowing that can be challenging to access amidst the volume and velocity of our modern world.
Our gentle itinerary provides space for you to tuck away and sink into the sights, sounds, smells, tastes & wonders of the land and gardens at Resilient Barn. Nestle into a hammock, the secret garden spaces or explore the nudges of Mother Earth. A time for connection, reflection and play. A getaway from the everyday-way and an opportunity to immerse yourself in the lifestyle & teachings of an Earth-Heart-Harvest connection. We will close our day with a blend of teas & an opportunity to share our experiences while tending an open fire.
We will provide a healthy and delicious supper for participants and ask that for our mid-day meal, people bring their own nourishing packed lunch.
If you have any questions, please send us an email. It would be so lovely to share this experience with you.
All the best,
Tara and Tarah
